Jager's New Bedroom

After the Relay for Life was over, I decided it was time to get Jager's
Big-Boy-Room done. We are in the process of moving things around and finishing off the basement to have some extra room so I figured it was time to get a move on with it before we decide to have another little one and are crunched for time.
When we first bought the house, it was a two-bedroom house with a very large laundry room. Well the laundry room could easily be a room, except that it has a door that goes outside to the backyard. We decided that instead of doing an addition and remodeling the WHOLE house, we would move the laundry to the basement (plenty of room there) and use the room and another bedroom. Yes, it does have a door, but we are just going to block it off for now and see how things go. So, although I didnt take any before pics, here are some after.

We repainted the walls white and did a blue and red stripe across the whole room for a border. Since Jager loves basketball so much we decided to go with the sports theme and that way he wont grow out of it too quickly. If ever. It had a linoleum floor that we ripped out and layed a hard wood floor. (much cheaper than carpet when you do it all yourself). Jaron says it looks like a basketball court. Anyhow, we did it all in two days and although I am still in a bit of a mess trying to get things re-organized, it was all worth it! Jager loves it!

Thanks mom and dad for helping us paint! We couldn't have done it all without ya!
