OUR MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Well, where to start? We had a great Christmas. Aside from the fact that I had to work, it was great! No, I guess I shouldn't complain because the girls I worked with that day were nice enough to let me have call in the morning and not come in till noon on Christmas day so it worked out very nicely.
Today we went to baby Daitan's blessing. It was really nice and Jager had a ball running around with all of his cousins!
Before I forget, thank you so much Greg and Michelle for the Christmas gift! It was so nice of you!! We love you guys!
I have uploaded a bunch of pictures from our Christmas. Unfourtunately, with me having to work, we were not able to go to Teasdale which I feel incredibly horrible about. But, we'll definately be able to go next year!! So anyways, here's a little overview of our holiday.....
Jager loved what Santa brought him!! He didnt know what to play with....
He absoulutely loved the train that he had. He just has a small problem leaving it on the tracks. He doesnt understand that it's just to watch and that it only goes straight if it's not on it's tracks.

The Elmo doll, he wasn't too sure of at first. I think it kind of scared him that it can actually talk in real life and not just on the TV but after his dad showed him that it's not scary, he likes to tickle it and laugh along with it.

Next up, the 4-wheeler. Since he has such an obsession with his dad's 4-wheeler, Santa decided that Jager needed one to play with in the house. Good idea Santa!! That thing goes everywhere with him.

And last on the list from Santa is the huge Tonka trucks. They are almost as big as Jager and he thinks that because they are, he can ride them. lol He found out very quickly that he's too big and they don't move very well with him sitting on them. He still likes to push them around.

So Christmas morning, we went to my mom and dad's for a bit before I had to go to work and Jager got to open a few presents over there. I think he liked what Grandma and Grandpa gave him....

He couldn't seem to get it out of the box fast enough!!

However, I think dad and Grandpa got their share of play time it too!

After I got off of work that night the long-awaited phone call came. (notice the phone on the table) We had it on speaker phone and enjoyed every second of the nearly two-hour conversation we had with our missionary! He is doing so well and we are so proud of him! It's definately a mission that not everyone could be cut-out for....to say the least.

This is my family around the dinner table for our Christmas dinner. Yes, both Grandma's were able to come for the phone call!

And last but not least, the Wii game. What more to say? Dad and Jaron had quite the time playing against each other. And, don't tell anyone, but Jaron is quite the figure skater! I was impressed!!

My cousin Bryce came over yesterday and brought his games with him. We found out our little Jager is quite the RockBand player!!

So that's our holiday..... Hope everyone else had a great one too!!

SANTA CLAUS IS COMING....

We went to the firestation Christmas party yesterday after church and Jager got to see Santa. We were really afraid that he wouldn't like him but Jager just warmed right up to him and jabbered away to him like he knew what he was doing. He never squealed or fussed a bit. I guess he was telling Santa what he wanted for Christmas. lol but Santa brought him a firetruck that plays music and has a siren so he thinks that is pretty neat. It's been the only toy he's played with today.

Chelsie and her family came over last night and Jager and Braegan found some big bouncy balls to play with. Today I was doing laundry and I walked by Jager's room and found him sitting on the ball and holding on to his crib railings like he was trying to bounce. Smart little guy. Then later he got upset because the ball had gotten wedged underneath the crib and he couldn't get it out.
We have our ward party tomorrow night so I'll probably get some more pics of Jager with Santa then. I have even heard rumor that Mrs. Claus will be there so we'll see about that!
I have the dreaded "christmas shift" day shift- this year at work so I think we will be doing our Christmas when I get home on Christmas eve. Besides, Jager isnt' really old enough to get the whole Santa thing so I think it will work out. Then when I get off work on Christmas day, Chase will be calling so I'm really excited to talk to him!!
I hope everything is going well for everyone else! Merry Christmas!!

LET IT SNOW! LET IT SNOW! LET IT SNOW!

Yay! We actually have a snow storm. I just hope it will either last for Christmas or snow again. It's not Christmas without the snow.
So I know it's been literally FOREVER since I last blogged but it has been so busy. Between me working, Jaron working and the general business of the holidays, it has been crazy!! We went to the Jones and Demille Christmas party Thursday night and got to see everyone there. It was nice to get to socialize and oh my gosh, Jaron and Brandon are not allowed to sit by each other ever again. And come on guys....passing notes, that's so first grade! j/k but it was fun. I was crying I was laughing so hard. Deidre, I'm glad you guys had fun in Vegas and I'm so jelous. Maybe next time.
Today we went to Mace and Amanda's for Lilly's birthday party. She has grown up so fast!! Jager had fun playing with the kids and popped his balloon which he was very sad about. Afterwards, we went to the light parade and Jager loved it. The parade was awfully short this year though! I got some really cute pics of Jager playing in the snow at the fire station. And Jaron had fun trying to teach him how to make a snowball. Jaron thinks we need to go buy him some snow boots now that it has snowed. We'll see.

After the parade was over, my parents and Chelsie and her family came over and had hot chocolate and doughnuts. We found Chasin and Jager in his room talking in the chair and got this cute pic of them. Braegan wasn't too in the mood for pictures. They sure had fun playing.

I hope everyone esle is doing well throughout the busy time of all this fun holiday stuff. Like me, it looks like no one else has had much time to blog either.

A GREAT THANKSGIVING

What an eventful weekend! We ended up going to Teasdale Thursday to spend the day with the family there. It sure was good to see everyone!! Jaron went to work Friday and then we put the Christmas tree up that night. lol Jager sure likes the lights. everytime we plug it in he says "wow! what's that?!" He did really well at not touching the decorations on it until saturday night when colton came over and had to poke and prod at everything. Now Jager thinks its fun to hold the little ornament balls and see himself in them. oh well. He still only takes about 1-2 off per day so I just stick them back on when he's not looking.
Saturday we went to Circleville to have Thanksgiving with my family. About an hour before we were going to leave my dad called and said that Chad wanted to go up and get another Christmas tree and wanted to know if Jaron wanted to take our 4-wheeler and go with them. Of course Jaron won't turn down the chance to see some deer and elk so he went. And the broken leg didn't seem to stop Colton. He was riding the wheeler around Grandma's back yard...and Jager had a blast!

We got there and helped Grandma and Tammy get some food ready while my mom made her yummy rolls (mmm!) oh by the way, I made the apple dip to snack on Chels, and everyone loved it! the all wanted to recipe. Alex and Deidre came so Jager had a ball playing with Denim and Vand'n!! It's kind of funny to look at Jager and Vand'n together and think that Vand'n is actually 3 months younger than Jager. They sure had fun together.

It was soo good to see everyone. I really love the holiday season but between all of our christmas parties and work...now it's going to be nothing but go go go for us all till the end of the year. Happy Holidays!!

Our Family Pictures

I think our family pictures turned out to be really cute!! Jager was really good through out them so we ended up having a few to choose from. My dad actually took them for us so I only ended up having to pay the price to get them printed off. Jaron let Jager sit in the trees when he started to get a bit anxious so we got some cute pics of that.

I posted the two cutest ones of our family together as our header and down below by my playlist. Look at them both, Michelle and see which one you like better and I can print one for you to hang on your wall as our family picutre. ( I can change the way the picture is horizontally or vertically for either one. I think your pictures hang horizontally so choose wich ever you like better.) Well I dont have much else to say today. It's just been an average Sunday for us!

OMG ... THAT WAS SO GOOD!

The movie was amazing. haha it was so much fun. Yes of course the book was better but hey, it was still good to see the movie. Without giving anything away, I just want to say that they did a great job with finding the actors. No - at first I didnt think that Edward was the right face for "my Edward" but by the time he and Bella start talking to each other you just cant help but love him and by the end you are absolutely in love with him. They did do a few things different with the story line but nothing so drastic that will make you not like the movie. Just simple things like summing things up in different ways than the book does to make it fit in to a smaller time space. So I highly recommend going to see the movie. Jaron even told me that he will go and see it with me when it comes to Richfield as long as I don't tell the guys he works with. lol!!! My dad and Colton went with us and they said they really liked it. Colton even said that he is thinking he wants to read New Moon now. (sigh...)I wish it was already out on video so that I could watch it again.
Well we took some family pics of us today for our Christmas cards so I will be changing my blog back to normal tomorrow and I will post a few of them. It was fun and Jager was really good throughout the whole picture taking process.

I hope all is going well with everyone...I haven't heard anything new from many of you lately.

A BUSY WEEKEND!

So, change of plans. The guys bummed out on us. lol Lindy told them that her students said that there were only like 3 guys at the midnight showing and so they think that they will be made fun of if they go. I guess now it's just going to be me, Lindy, and Camla. My dad and Colton really want to come but they are still deciding if Colton can sit in a cramped theater for 2 hours so we'll see.
Other than that, I'm super sad that I couldn't go with all the girls from work but Carla, I hope you all had a good time. The dinner turned out to be really fun and Jaron was the "life of the party". haha that kid is quite the talker when he gets around the guys he works with. I also hear quite the stories of those boys at work when we get together. (sometimes more than I would like to know....)
As I said in my last post, I worked last night and the night before so I was extremely tired when I got home this morning. Jager woke up pretty early and Jaron didn't want to seem to get out of bed so Jager decided to be a snuggle bug and sleep with me on the couch. Yes of course he had to have his bear. Jaron took this pic of us before he left for work....I happend to find it this afternoon. (Sorry about the ugly jammies. I was really cold and so tired I didnt care what I was wearing to bed!)

Well I better get off. Whitney and Darci want us to watch a movie with them.
I hope you get feeling better soon Michelle!!

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON!!

Okay so I know I'm a freak about this whole thing but I'm really excited! Unfortunately, Jones and Demille decided to plan a dinner party for the surveyors tomorrow night so I have to wait till Saturday to see the movie. However, it is all I have planned for Saturday. I think Lindy and I have even talked Jaron and Kade into going with us. haha We'll see. I just told them that if they do go they can't make fun of the movie or us at all.
Well I'm going to leave this as my blog till Sunday and then I will change it back. I just wanted to have a little fun for a few days with my Twilight obsession.
Well gotta run. I'm working tonight and I need to be there in half an hour so I better go get ready!

HE LOVES HIS PUPPY!!

If you know Jager at all, you know that he just loves dogs. He and his dad were out playing with his puppy the other night and I had the kitchen door open and when I walked by I glanced over to see them both just watching me. haha. And of course he had to give his puppy a kiss.

Oh and Michelle and Steph....I heard rumor that they already are starting to get the script and what not written for New Moon and they do have a contract for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn...fun fun. Let me know if you guys want to come to the movie with us Saturday night. If not and you just want to wait till it comes to Richfield, I'll go with you then too! lol

LISTEN TO THIS....

So if you haven't heard the soundtrack for the Twilight movie yet here ya go.... It is now my playlist. I really like the songs. And so does Jaron so that says a lot.
I put it as a random shuffle but the songs should be in the order they are on the cd. The one called "Never Think" is sung by the kid that plays Edward and I really like "Bella's Lullaby". It is so what I imagined it would sound like. Hope you guys enjoy it!!
Oh and Jaron took this pic of Jager last night while I was at work... cute!

Finally....hunting season is over for us!!

So they found their elk. I think he said it was a 7 point...??? I dont rememeber for sure. So he's on his way home soon. Not much else going on with us. Just doing laundry and playing around on the internet.
I was so excited because I ordered the twilight soundtrack the other day and it's supposed to be coming in the mail and then I woke up today and realized....NO MAIL today! :( oh well. maybe tomorrow.
Happy Veterean's Day everyone. Let's not forget what we are.....AMERICANS!!

NO SURGERY - YAY!!!

Well, to start off with, my parents ended up taking Colton to Cedar City to meet with Dr. Delcore. They finally got in touch with him at 11 o'clock last night. He was more than happy to take Colton in today and see what needed to be done. They got there are the Dr. decided that the fracture wasnt bad enough to have to pin so he ended up just casting it. Colton was so relieved he didnt have to have surgery. So they have to go back to see him in two weeks and they will then take some more Xrays to see how things are. If it hasnt started to grow right then they will go in and put some screws in but if everything goes as planned it should only take about 6 weeks to heal. He was also relieved that he only had to have a cast up to his knee and not up further.
So, other than that, Jaron decided that this snow wasn't going to be too much fun to camp in so they came home. They will still go and hunt on this side of the mountain during the day but at least I will have him home at night and not as far away.
Jager and I have just been hanging out here at my mom's trying to help her get some house work done so she can take care of Colton.
Here's a pic of his cast.
oh, and p.s. - Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

OUCH!!!

It's been a few days since I've left a post so sorry, but I've got a story for you all.....
I was working last night (night shift) and asked my dad to bring me some things up to work on. So being the nice guy that he is, he did. He hadn't been gone from the hospital for longer that 15 minutes and my phone rang. I answered it, seeing that it was my mom, and she told me that Colton had been up to the Lions Park playing night games and broke his leg. She said that my dad was bringing him up and to go meet them in the ER to keep her posted on what was going on. (oh and keep in mind that Jaron is hunting so my mom and dad have Jager for the night) I go in just about the same time they were getting there and helped him into a wheel chair and into the ER.
They start doing the routine stuff on him and the ER nurse asked him what had happend and get this......a girl ran over his leg with her car!!! grrrrr. Long story short.....she was being very irresponsible and wasnt paying attention. Colton and a friend were standing outside the car next to the passenger door and she got mad and cranked the wheel and somehow ran over him and hit him. I guess there is a pretty good size dent in the passenger side door from it all. All of the kids that were there, except the friend standing by him at the time, took off and left him laying there in the parking lot unable to move at all. The girl kinda took off for a while and then came back to see him.
When he first got in and we looked at it we were all, including the doctor, convinced that it was definately broken, if not crushed. After Xrays and what not they found that it fractured his growth plate on his left tibia. Normally they dont do much with fractures but where it is on the growth plate he has to have surgery in Cedar City first thing tomorrow morning to get it pinned and set. He's just lucky it was the only thing broken. His ankle is so swollen and his shin has a lot of bruising and what not. His shin bone also has some big knots on them that look like hematomas but as long as the Xrays say it's okay, thats all we are worried about!!
I'll let you know how the surgery goes. He is just upset because it's obviously going to take about 6 weeks or more to heal and guess what.... wrestling practice starts tomorrow! I just feel so bad for him.

BRRRR!

With this cold weather setting in so fast, I have been in the mood for some soup so we had taco soup last night for dinner and we are having some yummy corn and potato chowder tonight. It's ready and waiting on the stove for Jaron to get home!
In the mean time....Jager and I have just been playing. Playing the piano that is. I got out the Christmas music to start practicing. (No I'm not getting in the "Christmas Spirit" already. We are going to send Chase some music for him in his Christmas package but since it takes quite a while for packages to get to him,we have to send it soon.) Anyways, Jager thought he needed to help so I got this super cute picutre of him!

Also, I just need to post a little black mail for Jaron's sake. lol . He has been getting ready for his big hunt with Brandon and last night he started getting everything packed. Well I had just put Jager down to sleep and when I walked back into the living room, I walked in to find this!
All I had to say was that I hope he had fun even though he is going to be camping in three feet of snow all week!!

Well he just walked in the door.... hope you all had a good day!!

Awwe...Isn't He Cute?!

Okay so I'm a bit partial, but isn't that just the cutest picture? lol I just wanted to show everyone so let me know what size you guys want.
I really don't have much else to say today. It's been a pretty average Monday for all of us. Hope you all had a good one!!

Bula Vinaka...lol (Fijiian for hello)

Well we just got an e-mail from Chase and we were lucky enough to get some pics in the mail this week too! He is doing so good and staying so busy!! He likes to stay busy because it helps the time go by faster. lol it's crazy to think that this month will be 10 months for him. We're almost on the down-hill of it all. I really think that he's going to have mixed feelings about coming home. He really loves the people there but if you know Chase at all.....he's a home-boy.

As for the rest of us....it was just church and a regular Sunday. However, lol Jaron had to go into work this morning so I went to Sacrament with Jager and my family. At the end of sacrament meeting, Jager started to get really grumpy (nap time) so I brought him home to sleep. I had just layed him down when Jaron called and said that Brandon and Becky were blessing their baby in half an hour and he was coming home to get ready to go. Need-less to say, Jager did get a nap but not till about two hours past his regular nap time. He was a grouch!! lol

Here are a couple of the pics that we got from Chase. Just thougth some of you might enjoy seeing them!! Hope you all have a good week.

Yum Yum!!

So I was watching Studio 5 the other day and they had this recipe for Pumpkin Pancakes with Apple Cider Syrup. Sounds sooo good!! I honestly havent tried it yet because Jaron is never home in the mornings to have breakfast so I'm thinking it's going to be breakfast for dinner one of these upcoming nights. lol so i'm going to share the recipe with you.....let me know if you try it and how you like it.

http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=204&sid=4634081

P.S.....Congratulations Whitney! 5th place is way good!! We're so excited for you.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

For us, our Halloween will probably be pretty quiet. In the past we haven't had many trick-or-treaters so I'm expecting about the same. I'm working tonight so Jager won't be going trick-or-treating this year. I figured he won't know the difference anyway.

This morning Jager and I went to see Grandma Marlyn at school. They had their Halloween parade and Jager thought that was kind of fun to see all of the kids dressed up. However, Grandma was dressed as Little Red Riding Hood and had a stuffed wolf puppet. Jager did not like the wolf at all. He started shaking and trembling when we tried to get him to play with it. So once I showed him that it was just a stuffed animal he was okay about it but if we tried to get him close to it as a puppet, he did not like it! lol

Jaron is supposed to be getting off work a little early today so hopefully I'll get to see him for a few minutes before I go to work, and Colton might come over and carve pumpkins with me when he gets out of school. We'll see.

Well I hope everyone has a good night and you get lots of candy!

Happy Haunting!

A New Puppy for Jager

Yes, I finally talked Jaron into getting a puppy for Jager. Isn't he just the cutest thing? So, I need some help. He still doesn't have a name. What do you guys think????

Jager absolutely loves him. haha he wasnt too sure about it the first night but he got so excited this morning when he woke up and there was a puppy on his back porch. Jaron said that the puppy is just like a new baby for us. The poor thing cried all night. But he just likes to be played with. As soon as we get out to play with him he doesnt make a noise. Plus, after almost 12 hours of having him, I still haven't heard him bark. Just wimper. Hopefully he'll get used to us soon. So, thanks so much Chelsie and Nolan!!

Well, I didn't post yesterday because I was working a day shift and we didnt get home till about 9 oclock saturday night so sorry. The baby shower was nice! It was at this club house place and there was a pond just outside of it, which was filled with ducks. Jager thought that was so much fun to sit out on the lawn and see the ducks swimming around. After the shower was over we went to Gardner Village to eat. Colton wasn't too impressed but Jager liked to see everyone dressed up like witches and watch the water wheel.

All in all it was a quick trip and we were glad to be back!
