..*Fun Filled Weekend!*..

Well we had a busy, but fun weekend.

Jaron's sister Chelsie, has a little boy, Chasin.
It was his 4 th birthday and they had a party for him at the Lion's park.
We made him a "Polar Express Cake" and he loved it.
He was really excited to have everyone sing happy birthday to him.
Jager was just concerned about getting some chocolate cake.
Jaron was a good sport and played the "ladder" for the little ones. Mostly Jager and Braegan.
They loved the twirly slide!
Even Brogan got his turn.

Big Smiles from the birthday boy!
So after the party we went to spend the night at Jaron's mom and dad's.
Jaron got out the rocking horse and Jager wasnt too sure he liked that too much.
We'll definately have to get him used to horses!
When we got ready to head home today Grandma Michelle was making cookies and sent us home with some. Jager enjoyed them very much!! So much that once he was done, he fell asleep and had a nice nap on the ride home!
Thanks for letting us come stay Greg and Michelle and thanks for the fun party Chelsie!
And Thanks for some of the pics Whitney!!

*..WoW! ThAt WaS sO eAsY!!..*

Why are my boys so happy you ask???
Well, I guess I should start from the first. This last Saturday my mom went to Provo with a friend and while they were there they went to a farmer's market and found many delisious fruits....my favorite! My mom bought a bunch and ended up bringing some home for us and you would not believe how yummy they are. She brought home some watermellon but best of all, many many strawberries. Get this they were only 99 cents per 1 lb container! amazing! She brought me home a whole box which is 8 - 1 lb containers and so I had to think of what I was going to do with them all. There was no way that we could eat them all before they went bad.
So, I called Grandma Shirley and got her recipe for freezer jam. Jaron's favorite!
I could not believe how incredibly easy it was to make. We will definately have this on hand more often now.
So for those of you who have never made freezer jam before (like me) I'm just going to give you a quick run down.
Get your Strawberries, (1 quart for one box of pectin.)
Wash and hull them.

Mix in your food processor until to desired consistency. (not too pureed but not too chunky either)
I had to borrow my mom's food processor because I still have yet to buy one. I think I'm definately going to need one now!

Mix in 4 cups of sugar with your mashed berries. Let set for ten minutes so the surgar can disolve with the natural sugars in the berries.

When it gets close to the end of your ten minutes mix 3/4 cups water with 1box of pectin and bring to a boil for one minute.(stir constantly) Then add to the strawberry- sugar mixture and stir for 3 minutes to dissolve sugar further.

Once your three minutes has passed, pour into desired freezer containers and let set for 24 hours at room temperature. After 24 hours, freeze for up to 1 year or refrigerate for up to 3 weeks!!
I made six boxes of strawberries which made 3 boxes of pectin mixture and ended up with 8 containers of Jam.
It only took me an hour to make three batches of Jam wich made the 8 containers....fast and easy!!

It's definately safe to say that strawberry freezer jam is Jaron's favorite and lets just say that anything that has fruit in it is Jager's favorite. ( he's my litte fruit lover) He has had strawberries for snacks and breakfast and asks for more after he has finished his helping. He loves it!
Thanks again for picking up the strawberries for us mom!!

..*..BUNNIES AND BASKETBALL..*..

Jager got this bunny the other day that sings the "Peter Cottontail" song and just loves it! It hops around and he hops around the room with it while it sings.

These next few pics I took at my mom's the other night when Jager was watching a basketball game. He absolutely loves to watch games and sometimes would rather watch them than a cartoon. (yay) His dad is passing that trait on well....
He also for some reason thinks that his aunt Whitney is in all of the games because every time he watches a game he points to the TV, gets really excited and says "NEE-NEE! Baket-ball"

..MMM, MMM, GOOD!..

GIRL SCOUT COOKIES, WHAT MORE CAN I SAY?!

I have not blogged for a long time but I still wanted to post these pics from when Grandpa Greg and Grandma Michelle came over. (a couple of weeks ago??) Jager and Grandpa had quite the fun time bouncing on the big blue ball......I think it showed us where Jaron got all his energy from to keep up with Jager, right Michelle?

Jager got a new little picnic table the other day. He loves it! Loves it so much that he thinks he has to eat every one of his meals at it. I'm afraid that when it warms up enough to put it outside he is going to throw a fit. That, or he'll want to go outside to eat.

Jaron went out of town for work this week so I have been over at my moms for the majority of the time. ( Iget too bored home alone!)

We were once again reminded how much Jager loves grapes!

Look closely and you can see many half eaten grapes still attached to the vine!

He then crashed on the couch with Uncle Colton when he got his belly full!

And last, This is just a pic that his dad likes. I think it's over at one of Jaron's buddy's houses. ??? Kind of cute though....

SHOOTING HOOPS!

Jaron is pretty proud of this little video. Jager is getting to be quiet the little ball player. I'm sure his Grandmas and Grandpas are proud to have a ball player in the family. I know his Great Grandma Nay will be!! oh yeah, and sorry it's not the best quality. It was recorded with my phone.

..*.FUN WITH MASON.*..

So, although he is not even two years old yet, I think Jager has already found a best friend. Mason. His dad,Brandon, just so happens to be Jarons "best friend" and "hunting buddy" so I guess it all works out. haha to top it off, Brandon's wife used to be a dancer in high school here in Richfield and on the drill team. just like me. lol Anyways, Brandon came over the other night and brought Mason and their baby Branson with him. Jager and Mason had quite the fun time playing. They both LOVE The Little Einsteins, LOVE basketball, and LOVE anything that has to do with deer, elk or just hunting in general. They are also very close in age so if I remember right, they are going to be in the same graduating class in school.
These are some pics of them playing basketball....

These next few pics are kind of old but I forgot that I hadnt posted them. They were taken at Chelsie's the other day when she watched Jager for me for a few hours while I slept after work.

I got these pictures of Jager when I caught him going through the socks that I hadnt matched after doing laundry. He thought he needed to wear his dad's socks and once they were on, he was pretty excited to go show dad that he was a big boy.

Lastly (is that a word?), Colton and my parents came over the other night to play some games. It was a quiet night for us all so Colton brought his new game "Ticket to Ride" over and we had a good time playing that. My dad got called out on a fire while we were in the middle of the game and he left me in charge of playing for him so even though he made it back to finish it off and ended up winning the game in the end, it was really me that won.... (j/k dad!)
We also found out that Jager LOVES to drink red cream soda...but it had to be out of Grandpa's cup. He didnt want it if it was in his cup. silly boy....
